Simon Hughes - Chairman
Simon has a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mathematics from London University and a Masters Degree in Statistics from The London School of Economics. He has worked in retail for over 30 years. Originally in the shoe trade with Clarkes shoes, he became a director of Ravel before joining BhS in the Buying Department. He sat on the board of BhS for 4 years as Logistics Director responsible for distribution, IT and overseas franchised stores.
For the next 4 years he was CEO of Mothercare, during which time he purchased the Children's World chain from Boots and created Mothercare World, the large out of town Mothercare stores.

On leaving Mothercare he joined the main board of Somerfield Plc as Group Supply Chain Director responsible for Logistics, IT and Re-buying, going on to be Managing Director of Kwik Save Stores and Managing Director of Somerfield 24/7 Home Shopping. In 2000 he renewed his acquaintance with Andy Kaye in the formation of BiS.

Andy Kaye - Chief Executive Officer
Andy is a graduate in Business Studies and Marketing. He joined NFC as a management trainee and undertook a number of roles with NFC and Exel before joining the Storehouse Group. At Storehouse he implemented the strategy to merge the supply chains of BhS and Mothercare and launched the fulfilment solution for Mothercare.com.
His career at Storehouse culminated in his appointment as Director of Logistics. Following the sale of BhS, Andy was involved in a dot.com start up for a brief period prior to founding BiS in 2000.

Andy has led the development of the BiS business and its merger in 2008 with George Henderson & Partners to form BiS Henderson.

Mark Botham - Chief Operating Officer
As a graduate of Liverpool University, Mark spent his early career in distribution operations and third party roles, rising quickly to run distribution operations at Allied Breweries and Christian Salvesen. He joined IBM as European Logistics Planning & Projects Manager. He was subsequently head hunted to join EMI Music as Logistics Director and then became Logistics Director for Allders Department Stores where he set up the home delivery operation.
Mark then joined Cabouchon as Supply Chain Director where in addition to setting up the physical distribution infrastructure, he was responsible for customer service, tele-order collection, purchasing and supply chain management.

In 1995 Mark joined George Henderson & Partners becoming Managing Director some 3 years later. Mark was instrumental in the merger with BiS in 2008 and has conducted senior executive appointments for a wide and diverse range of clients.

Victoria Mountain - Director
Victoria worked for 7 years in Personnel Operations management in the hi-tec sector with ICL before joining MRI as an Executive Search Consultant where she set up a highly successful Supply Chain and Logistics Practice. Specialising in search, her intuitive and resilient approach to identifying only the best talent in the market place has ensured her success across market sectors including retail, manufacturing, 3PL and consultancies over the last 14 years.
She joined BiS in 2004 and was instrumental in the creation of its permanent recruitment practice.

Victoria was appointed to the position of Director in 2007 and continues to drive the business forward, with a strong emphasis on providing only the best service to our clients.

Larry Woelk - Director, International & Business Development
Larry was born in Dodge City, Kansas. He has university degrees in Mathematics and French as well as an MBA. He has spent almost all of his career in Europe and has held senior executive and board level positions with Airborne Express, BAX Global, John Manzies, LEP International and Pinkerton Security.
Larry has run companies and divisions in supply chain security; logistics operations and communication; 4PL management and freight audit and pay processes. His advice has been sought by some of the largest forwarders and integrators in the world and his network of contacts spans the globe.

Bashir Khan - Director, Public Sector
Having graduated in Chemical Engineering from University College, London University, Bashir worked in a variety of technical roles. He then studied for an MBA at Manchester Business School and started working in the distribution industry with TNT in their contract distribution division.
He has since held a variety of commercial and analytical roles across the distribution and logistics industry, gaining experience of a wide range of sectors.

For the last four and a half years he has worked in Transport for London, where he was one of the team that has been pioneering urban freight strategy through the policies identified in the London Freight Plan.
Bashir joined BiS Henderson in 2010 to continue the company’s growth in the public sector.

Gary Sewell - Senior Consultant
Gary has had an extensive career in third party logistics management across a variety of sectors in both dedicated and shared user operations. His early career was with Whitbread and he has also held General Manager positions with both Exel and Hays prior to joining TDG where he became a Business Unit Director.
Gary joined BiS in 2006 and specialises in the recruitment of high calibre strategic and tactical operations executives for both 3PL and own account operations.

Hilary Rundle - Consultant
Hilary began her career in Sales within the international courier and mail fields before establishing an Executive Search based recruitment consultancy in 1993. For 17 years, Hilary and her team serviced a wide array of clients within the express, mail, sameday and freight markets. Hilary has built a strong reputation as a skilled headhunter and established a quality database of exceptional and talented individuals from within the sector.
Hilary joined Bis Henderson in 2010 to continue offering quality service to her long standing client base and to assist in the development of the International Division.

Shaf Ali - Senior Consultant - Interim
Shaf graduated with a 2:1 Honours degree in Multimedia Communication & Web Design. He started his early career in the logistics and freight forwarding industry working for SK Global in South Africa where, as Operations Manager for three years, he ran the export operation for numerous mining and minerals organisations in delivering product to China, Korea and India.
Returning to the UK, Shaf established a successful interim supply chain and logistics practice for nearly five years and then joined BiS Henderson as a senior consultant to help further develop the interim division.

Shaf works with various organisations in the retail, manufacturing and 3PL sectors specialising in providing interim managers across the areas of business change, programme and project management. Shaf has a vast network of contacts across several sectors and has an approach that is personal, individual and entirely face to face.
