There’s no question that the Apprenticeship Levy is one of the hot topics affecting businesses both within and outside the UK logistics industry.
It is for precisely this reason that we are proud to announce Bis Henderson Group CEO Andy Kaye will be one of the speakers at Sundial Group’s Learning & Development Thought Leaders’ Conference 2017 on Friday 5th May. This year’s conference, which follows a very successful running in 2016, is once again sure to be of interest to professionals in L&D and talent management.
What can attendees expect?
In his talk entitled Are you ready for the Apprenticeship Levy? Andy Kaye will talk about the opportunities to benefit from the Apprenticeship Levy for firms that seek to fully understand its implications. After discussing the effects of the levy, Andy will be happy to open the floor to questions.
Of course, Andy is far from the only industry expert set to speak at the event. One of the others who will appear is Rory Underwood MBE, the former international rugby star who has also enjoyed a stellar RAF career. Drawing upon his distinctive background, the experienced facilitator, psychometric profiler and performance coach will explore lessons from sport, the military and business to help unlock the potential of teams.
Andy Stopps, Director of E-learning at Maguire Training, will also speak on the subject of how technology can be made to work to enhance the learning experience. Meanwhile, Laing O’Rourke’s Head of Operational Training & Apprenticeships, Alison Lamplough, will share the story of how her company is investing in people for the long term with the skills they require now and those they will need in the years to come.
An essential event in the industry calendar
The conference will be held at Highgate House in Northamptonshire, with registration and breakfast starting from 8:30am, and the event concluding at 4:30pm. More information, including on how to secure a ticket, can be found at the Sundial Group website.
We’re excited and really looking forward to speaking at the event and sharing our thoughts on how to optimise the funds generated by the Apprenticeship Levy. So, why not take the opportunity to join us?
