As per last year, the Conference promises thought leadership presentations from industry leaders, interactive panel discussions and networking opportunities. The prestigious conference dinner will be held at the end of day one where guests will enjoy inspirational guest speaker Ben Farrell, Head of Transport Operations for John Lewis Partnership and former commanding officer of the Irish Guards.
This year’s event theme is ‘Transforming Logistics for the Digital World’ across four key focus areas: people, performance, productivity and profits with a number of critical industry topics and challenges featured on this year’s agenda including; the latest update on Brexit, how to manage risk, ways to combat challenges ahead, digital strategy and attracting & retaining talent to name but a few.
Planning for Brexit?
It’s a challenging time for the warehousing and logistics sector and the conference gives Bis Henderson Space an opportunity to discuss current challenges and future plans – including the current warehouse space ‘shortage’ as the country prepares for the impact of Brexit.
Businesses reappraising their levels of stock and/or deployment of inventory to cover the current risk may find themselves requiring either extra warehouse space or facilities in new locations. But with the uncertainty surrounding the exact circumstances of Brexit, and the possible short-term nature of any disruptions, careful planning and flexible arrangements on leases and services are going to be vital in order to balance exposure to risk and unnecessary cost.
Bis Henderson Space offer a service helping businesses find the ideal additional warehouse space and any other logistics services they require, our unique consultative approach takes the hassle out of the process, limits the lead time and drives the best commercial deal for you – all essential in the current climate.
